BorgWarner EFR Snail

Those of you whom know me well will know I am an "NA Bagus" kaki. However this new turbine is making me excited about turbocharging something which I've not been for a long long time. Very excited. More details here:

The EFR is claimed to be the most responsive and fastest spooling snail in its range. Bye bye turbo lag..

Twin scrolled based turbo should be a cracker because R56 MCS is using one and is darn responsive :)

I also really like the integrated recirculation BOV. Saves $ on having to buy all the ricey sounding aftermarket BOVs. A boost control solenoid also comes with the snail allowing programmable ECUs boost controller without having to buy a separate solenoid or boost controller.

Andrew,

You meant recirculated dump valve? Definetely doable because contis have been using it for ages but you need to clean it up as time goes by. And if you're thinking of solenoid based wastegate actuator, you might want to think something like N75J which is slightly bigger than stock but using this you can only rely on ecus to control the boost unlike MBC. Got pros and cons, pros is definetely better response :)

Yes Sir! My intention is to get an aftermarket ECU to control the boost. Definitely need to limit boost in the lower gears to control wheel spin.
